Shooting cartilage and cancerous tissue of X-ray machine successfully developed
Japanese researchers from the university of Tokyo has announced, they developed a new kind of medical X-ray machine that can shooting cartilage and cancerous tissue images. The X-ray machine is expected to help early diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis and breast cancer.
Conventional Diagnostic X-ray Unit use different parts of body absorb different X-ray rate to shoot the bones and organs images which easily absorb x-ray, but cartilage that only absorb little x-ray can’t shoot clearly. Bicen, associate professor at the university of Tokyo, lead a team of researchers discovered when x-rays through the human body’s organization, direction will appear slight deviation. The deviation of amplitude relate to muscle, bone and viscera of shape and properties. The researchers use this principle developed a new kind of X-ray machine to detect and reflect once this deviation extremely.
The research team has detected new equipment in two hospitals and succeeded in shooting Cartilage, tendons and tiny cancerous tissue and so on. Research team prepare to conduct clinical trials for joint cartilage damaged in patients with rheumatoid arthritis in November, striving to make new x-ray machine practical early.
