With 3d imaging system of breast X-ray machine first approved in the United States
The U.S. food and drug administration first approve with 3d imaging system of Mammography unit appear on the market, this help to improve accuracy of breast cancer detection and diagnosis.
Breast X-ray scan breast to detect or diagnose breast cancer by low-dose medical x-ray is currently the best way to early diagnosis for breast cancer. But traditional breast X-ray machine’s 2d imaging system limits its accuracy.
11 the new approved breast X-ray machine was sold by a Massachusetts company, it can offer 2d and 3d breast images at the same time. More than 300 women participate in related research shows, comparing to only use 2d imaging system, the new system can increase about 7% of accuracy for breast cancer diagnosis.
American medicine office says, comparing with 2d imaging system the new system impose double radiation quantity to client holds but therefore they have cancer’s risk is less than 1%.
The US national cancer institute suggested women who over 40 years old should have a mammary gland X-ray examination every one to two years,
