Ultrasound can early diagnose breast cancer

American radiologists Dr Thomas M. Kolb has pointed out that about two-thirds of premenopausal women 、25% in postmenopausal women and half postmenopausal women use of hormone replacement therapy because of the breast tissue dense so influence of X-ray radiography breast cancer detection rate.
The researchers selected 1130 cases of women for study, compared with their breast X-ray radiography, breast touch and the effect of ultrasound examination, altogether have 27825 times of continuity inspection. The results found that breast density is x-ray radiography sensitivity's primary influencing factor.
Dr Kolb has pointed out that most people think of ultrasound examination in breast cancer is unprofitable, clinical doctors also use less, and is not in the range of insurance payment. But the research suggests breast X-ray radiography and ultrasound screening can improve breast cancer detection rate. Kolb doctor thinks that at present ultrasound examination needs to be studied further to determine whether as routine screening. He suggested that women should know Breast density after X-ray radiography, such as doing ultrasound examination for tissue dense.
