Danish Prince, Princess, to visit Australia in November
CANBERRA, September 18 (Xinhua) -- Danish Royal couple Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will visit Australia in November, a spokesman from Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard's office confirmed on Sunday.
It will be their first official visit to Australia as a couple since 2005, and the pair will visit Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, from November 19 to November 26.
"We are very proud of our ties to Denmark," the spokesman said in a statement released on Sunday, referring to the Australian born and raised Princess Mary. "Their visit is a sign of the strength of the friendship between our two nations."
The couple will lead a business delegation focused on green energy, sustainable living and food technologies.
The spokesman added that this delegation will provide an opportunity to enhance trade and business ties between the two countries.
Earlier, the White House confirmed that U.S. President Barack Obama will visit Australia on November 16-17 to mark the 60th anniversary of the alliance between the two countries.
